Upcoming events!

October 27, 2008 by cmuaero

This year we have some great events coming up! Here’s some of what to expect:

Ground school

The ground school program is a semester-long, weekly course offered by the CAA. The program is taught by Jeff Hansen, CMU faculty and certified flight instructor, and prepares students to take the written portion of the private pilot license test. The course will next be offered in Spring semester in 2009. Please email us for more information on Ground school or to register for the Spring semester class.

Flight simulator nights

Flight simulator nights take place 1 or 2 times a year. We use Microsoft’s Flight Simulator X and set up a room with a projector and speakers. At the same time as the flight simulator nights, members can get a chance to play with our remote controlled helicopters!

Sightseeing tours

We go on sightseeing tours offered by the Pittsburgh Flight Training Center (PFTC). This is a great chance to fly in a small plane and to see great views of Pittsburgh!

Movie nights

We get together and watch aviation-related movies!
